Rock Drill Preventive Maintenance Schedule: A Complete Template

A structured preventive maintenance schedule is the foundation of reliable rock drill operation. This template covers all essential maintenance tasks organized by frequency.

Daily Tasks (Every Shift)

Check hydraulic oil level. Inspect all hoses and fittings for leaks. Check shank adapter condition. Grease all lubrication points. Inspect bit condition and replace if worn. Check flushing system operation. Report any abnormalities.

Weekly Tasks (Every 50 Hours)

Check hydraulic oil cleanliness (visual inspection). Inspect front head bushing for wear. Check rotation motor for leaks. Inspect feed beam and chain/rope. Check all mounting bolts for correct torque. Test anti-jamming system.

Monthly Tasks (Every 250 Hours)

Change hydraulic oil filter. Take oil sample for analysis. Inspect percussion mechanism for unusual wear. Check accumulator pre-charge pressure. Inspect all seals for leaks. Measure cylinder bore diameter.

Quarterly Tasks (Every 500 Hours)

Complete inspection of all wear components. Replace front head bushing if worn. Inspect piston and cylinder. Check valve condition. Replace all seals preventively if approaching service life.

Annual Tasks (Every 1500-2000 Hours)
